identity

i am now the proud owner of my fathers sax aphone it is a Conn the numbers stamped into it are T307343 L I would like as much info about it as i can get. Can any direct me ????

    That would be a Conn 10M tenor made in 1942. It's a WWII vintage sax! Most 10M's of this era had the naked lady engraving, but there were a few made for the military servicemen that had military engravings. Regardless of the engraving, this sax has the rolled tone holes, and is one of the most sought after conn 10M's. in good condition, it could be worth as much as $3,500 although getting that much in today's market could be difficult. These horns are known for their big, bold tone and their quick action. They have fairly good intonation, although they work best with large, open-chambered mouthpieces. Jim
