Carl Fischer Tenor Sax

I have acquired a CF Tenor Sax, it has ITALY inscribed right where the neck screws down. The serial number is 33870. I believe its from WWII? Its in beautiful condition, plays well, no dents, still shines like it was new with minimal scratches. I've been looking all over the web for information on this instrument, can anyone give me some idea if its vintage or ???? Thanks so much for your input!
