Buying a sax

Everyone is talking about the markVI .What would be a good tenor saxophone a new one that would be pretty close to a mark VI and what mouth piece and reed would you recommend? Im looking for that bases roubust sound a full sound not a high pick airy sound .Any advice would be apperiatied...

    Selmer Reference 54 saxes were modeled after the Mark VI's, and they are brand new, so if you don't mind spending tons of money on a sax, one of them might be good to look into.
