im trying to find out how old my conn is and if its worth anything

all i know is my teacher gave it to me when i was in high school about 5 years ago. it has some writing on it and it says "the martin imperial ELKHART-INDIANA-USA" i dont even know if its a real conn the serial number is 300248 could some one please help me.

    Hello, That horn is a Martin horn.If it says Handcraft on it, it is a good horn.If not it is a student horn,which is still okay.
