Paul Desmond

Hi, ive been looking for a new mouthpiece and been looking into the vintage and also newer mpcs for a paul desmond sound...do any of you know a mouthpiece that could give me that character of sound he has? Thanks for your time.

    Desmond's Setup is a Gregory 4A-18M Rico 3 1/2 Reeds - Selmer Super Balanced Action #43,xxx. BUT: Remember it is the player that makes the sound. It is fully possible for two people to get the same setups and sound totally different. The best advice I have is to find a mpc that you like to play on, and then listen to lots and lots of Desmond, and then try to emulate what you hear.
