Check out Saxquest saxophone museum and look at the selmer horns. The older models have collector value, but they were not great horns till the balanced action models of the 1930s. The old models are somewhate rare. Selmer USA also had horns made as stenciled, so it may not be a true French Selmer. A picture or two would help the experienced historical sax guys help to identify it here.
