The horn you are refering to is definatly some kind of Conn. The patent (first two lines of engraving) suggest it is perhaps of a Conn Chu influence.

-The 'S' could stand for Soprano.
-The digits '435538' mean it was built in 1954.
-And the 'II' or 'H' could refer to the pitch, being high.
