What you have is an early, King Improved model. These are pre dated the Voll and Voll II horns of the late 20's/early 30's, which in turn pre date the Zephyr, and later Super 20 models. They are comparable to a Conn New Wonder I/II and Buescher True Tone. Although a good horn for the little money they generally cost, (around $900.00 U.S. for full retail, MUCH less for private sale, usually $200.00 or so) they don't fetch as much as their afore listed contemporary competitors. I have a few of these in my collection, and although they aren't quite up to the KING Zephyr and Super 20 models, they are very nice sounding, well built horns.
