HR mouthpieces...otto link, JJ..?

Hello all, I am currently playing a Berg Larsen with ZZ reeds on alto. This setup is much to bright for my liking. I am considering an Otto Link Hard Rubber (about 7 opening) or maybe a Jody Jazz HR. My question is which mouthpiece do you prefer? I also want to know if the Jody Jazz are good for a vintage jazz sound and if they are worth the price (money is kinda tight), because they're almost twice as expensive as the Links. Tell me what you guys think. For the record, I am playing with a 1925 Conn Chu Berry. Any response is appreciated.

I think the Links are hit and miss. Find a good one and it'll be awesome, but there are alot of bad ones out there. The Jody Jazz HR mouthpieces are very efficient (free blowing). The sound, to me, is kind of bland. I think you should check out some of the Vandoren stuff. Probably not the Jumbo Java (it'll be too bright), but maybe the Java or the V16.

Have a look at Runyon pieces. An SR on a Conn is really nice if you're going for dark.
