New Member: Sax ID

I'm Kevin, and I just picked up a Yanagisawa Soprano. It plays well, but I'm not sure what to make of the serial number : 1763402. It has little engraving and says "made my Yanagisawa" on the bell. The guy I bought it from thought it was from the early 90's. Every serial number chart I find has one less digit than mine. Any ideas? Thanks!
