Jazz Singer Cheryl Barnes Performing At House of Music

Looking for a place to get lost in Jazz music? Cheryl Barnes can take care of that for you. On May 15th, jazz singer Cheryl Barnes is performing at House of Music and Entertainment (H.O.M.E.) in Beverly Hills to showcase her recent chart topping CD release “Listen To This”. She will be joined by her husband and arranger/musical director Phillip Cabasso, along with some of LA’s greatest players. What better way to spend the night than at an elegant jazz club, listening to an impeccable jazz artist, and be taken on an inspiring journey through music?

“Listen To This” is Cheryl’s fourth studio album and is an intense collaboration with her husband/pianist Phil Cabasso. Produced by Rahn Coleman and also featuring the impassioned piano playing of her husband Phil Cabasso, “Listen to This” was patiently rendered over a 5-year period, prepared with tender loving care utilizing Los Angeles’ finest, including soloists saxophonists Rickey Woodard and Pete Christlieb, pianists John Hammond and Joel Scott, and trumpeter Nolan Shaheed. Cheryl’s life has revolved around loving music, and this concert will definitely showcase that personality and passion. Ms. Barnes is the quintessential performer, wowing audiences worldwide with her unerring sense for creating and sustaining a musical and personal rapport, be it within intimate club settings or commanding concert stages. The concert begins at 7:30pm PST, and tickets are available here.
