Give me some info.

> I would like to know a little about my alto sax. It is a Martin with the ser.# of 11792864 and it has Japan over it. My parents purchased it in 1980. I played it during college. I have a neighbor down the road thatt is looking for a horn for their daughter as a "step up horn" for her in her high school band. If you can, please let me know if this horn will do the job. I have no desire to sell it but I thought I would let her borrow it untill her parents can come up with the funds to buy her something beside a beginer horn. > Bobby McKee

sounds like one of the Martin horns that was made by Yanagisawa. They are actually a pretty good playing horn. I'm not a big fan of the Yanagisawa sound, but they do play nice. I would think that as long as the pads are in good shape, it would certainly do the job for her.

Thanks for your help. I am the new kid on the block and I guess it will take a while for people to talk to me. Thanks again for your response.
