Yes, I love the old Keilwerths and Coufs. They're great horns, and they play very well. Keilwerth has always patterned a lot of their designs after Conn. The Keilwerths and Coufs really started gaining popularity after Conn turned to making mostly student horns. In the early 80's Conn, under ownership of Daniel Henkin, commissioned Keilwerth to build some pro model saxophones, the DJH Modified horns. Henkin wanted to bring Conn back into the professional market, unfortunately the profit just wasn't there. I think they're every bit as good as the Conns; better than some of the later Conns.
