Orpheum saxaphones

Can you all give me your opinions on Orpheum saxaphones? I bought one to learn tenor on, it's used, played nicely for the clerk selling it to me. Someone recently told me to 'return it' and run like hell as the Italian sax is a piece of junk etc. (everyone's entitled to an opinion).....I never heard of it before I bought it......figure I'm a learner.....did I just waste money? thx for your opinions! John

I've never heard of them. How much did you pay for it? Usually Italian saxophones are decent, if it is in fact Italian made.

Hey Jim, Thx for the reply. It is made in Italy, stamped with a serial # on it. As I mentioned, I'm quite a novice, but the clerk played it well and I liked the sound so I guess that is what matters. I paid $400, included case, neck, mouthpiece and strap at Sam Ash music stores. John
