Does having a matte finish on a sax alter the sound at all?

    Are you planning to refinish a saxophone you already have, or is this a different one? If it's a different one, just try it and see if there's any difference. I wouldn't imagine it would effect the sound, because it shouldn't be like wrapping plastice around the horn.
