Trying to Determine Value of 2001 Buescher Alto Sax

We purchased this sax NEW from Sam Ash music in August 2001. My son played in concert band for one year in 7th grade, took 8th grade off while the sax just sat in his closet. He then played in 9th and 10th grade. No marching band, only indoor concert band. His high school band teacher thinks we can get $700-800 for the sax. I think we only paid $700. It is in LIKE NEW condition, had it serviced every year as part of the purchase. New case too. Any idea how to determine value? Thank you.

Others might be able to help more with information like serial number... However, your band teacher may be right. Maybe he even knows of someone interested in buying it, maybe at the beginning of the next school year. Buescher has been a good brand, but I'm not sure whether their new horns are as good, better, or worse than their vintage horns.

The serial number on the 2001 Buescher Saxaphone is 0032773. Does anyone know what the fair market value of this saxaphone would be? Thank you.
