Buescher BU-3 soprano

I have a guy that wants to trade me one of these for my buescher 400 bari. Any comments on the horns, are they good, pro model or student and so on. thanks

He wants to trade you a soprano for a bari? I wouldn't, at least not even up.

The new Bueschers and BU-'s are asian made student horns horns. These Bueschers lay no claim to the heritage of the American made vintage horns of the 20th century of the same name. From what I gather, these are a step or so above the complete junk catagory.

Not even a step above. The buescher 400 bari even if its a later horn (after the 1963 selmer buy out ) was still made with the same toolings as its previous model was. The BU range was garbage Dave
